Cancellation & Refund Policy
Please review this policy carefully before making a donation through the Vallalar Annadhanam Foundation website.
Vallalar Annadhanam Foundation accepts voluntary contributions through its authorized donation facilities. This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how donation cancellation requests, duplicate transactions, failed payments, unauthorized transactions and refund-related enquiries are handled.
Voluntary Donations
Donations made through the website are voluntary charitable contributions.
Transaction Issues
Duplicate, failed or incorrectly processed transactions can be reported to the Foundation.
Review Process
Refund requests are reviewed based on the circumstances and available transaction information.
1. Nature of Donations
Donations made through this website are voluntary contributions intended to support the charitable and community-oriented activities of Vallalar Annadhanam Foundation.
A donation is not a purchase of a physical product or a commercial service. Accordingly, standard e-commerce cancellation and return procedures do not apply to ordinary charitable contributions.
2. Before Making a Donation
Donors are requested to carefully verify the following before completing an online transaction:
- Donation amount.
- Donor name and contact information, where requested.
- Payment method selected.
- Any information entered into the donation form.
- The final amount displayed by the payment gateway before payment confirmation.
Once a payment has been successfully authorized, it may not always be possible to cancel the transaction immediately.
3. Cancellation of Donations
Because donations are voluntary charitable contributions, cancellation after successful payment is not automatically guaranteed.
However, if a donor believes that a transaction was made accidentally, duplicated, incorrectly processed or otherwise requires review, the donor may contact the Foundation as soon as possible.
Each request will be reviewed based on the available transaction details and the circumstances of the request.
4. Situations That May Be Reviewed for Refund
The Foundation may review refund requests relating to circumstances such as:
Duplicate Transaction
The same donation amount appears to have been successfully charged more than once for the same intended transaction.
Incorrect Transaction
A donor reports that an amount was processed incorrectly or that there was an apparent technical issue during payment.
Unauthorized Transaction
A donor believes a transaction was made without proper authorization. Such matters may also require coordination with the relevant bank or payment provider.
Payment Dispute
A transaction requires investigation because the payment status shown to the donor differs from the actual transaction status.
5. Failed Payment but Amount Debited
In some cases, a payment may appear unsuccessful on the website while the amount has temporarily been debited from the donor's bank account.
Such transactions may be subject to reconciliation between the bank, payment gateway and Foundation's transaction records.
Donors should contact us with the transaction details if the amount does not appear to have been resolved within the applicable banking or payment-provider processing period.
6. Refund Request Procedure
To help us investigate a transaction, donors should contact the Foundation with as much relevant information as reasonably possible.
Contact Us
Send the refund or transaction enquiry to our official contact details.
Share Details
Provide the transaction date, amount and available transaction/reference information.
Verification
The Foundation may verify the transaction with relevant payment records.
Resolution
The request will be reviewed and the donor will be informed of the outcome where appropriate.
7. Information Required for a Refund Request
To investigate a request, we may ask for information such as:
- Donor name.
- Email address or mobile number used during the transaction.
- Date and approximate time of the transaction.
- Donation amount.
- Payment transaction ID, reference number or UTR, where available.
- Relevant payment confirmation or transaction evidence.
Please do not send your UPI PIN, ATM PIN, card PIN, CVV, internet banking password or OTP to the Foundation.
Vallalar Annadhanam Foundation will never require your UPI PIN, ATM PIN, card PIN, CVV, banking password or OTP to process a refund. Never share these confidential credentials with anyone.
8. Refund Method
Where a refund is approved and technically possible, the refund will generally be processed through the applicable payment channel or according to the payment provider's procedures.
The exact time taken for the refunded amount to appear in the donor's account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card network, UPI system or other financial institution involved in the transaction.
9. Processing Time
Refund and transaction-related requests require verification. Processing time may therefore vary depending on the nature of the issue and the involvement of banks or payment providers.
Where a request requires investigation by a third-party payment gateway or bank, the final resolution may also depend on that institution's processing timelines.
10. Payment Gateway and Bank Processing
Online donation payments may be processed through third-party payment gateways or financial institutions.
Some payment-related issues, including pending transactions, failed payments, reversed transactions and bank-side disputes, may need to be resolved by the relevant payment provider or financial institution.
The Foundation will provide reasonable assistance where transaction information available to us can help investigate the issue.
11. Unauthorized Transactions
If you believe that a donation was made using your payment method without your authorization, you should immediately contact your bank or payment provider and report the transaction.
You may also contact the Foundation with the relevant transaction information so that the matter can be reviewed from our side where appropriate.
12. Fraudulent or Misleading Refund Claims
The Foundation reserves the right to investigate requests where there is a reasonable concern regarding fraudulent activity, misuse, false information or an attempt to obtain an unauthorized refund.
Where appropriate, information relating to suspected fraudulent transactions may be shared with the relevant payment provider, bank or competent authority in accordance with applicable law.
13. No Physical Product Returns
The Foundation's online donation facility does not ordinarily involve the sale or shipment of physical products.
Therefore, physical product return, replacement or exchange procedures do not apply to ordinary online donations.
14. Changes to This Policy
Vallalar Annadhanam Foundation may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in donation procedures, payment services, operational practices or applicable requirements.
The latest version will be published on this page.
